A sonic fiction of multiple truffle-nekros assembleges growing
under all surfaces. As mushrooms are considered as a paradigm for an alternative life system, I
am to further entertain the analogy so
as to incorporate a hypogeous, necro-
political dimension. I give “life” to the
truffle-nekros based on the taxonomic
differentiation between mushrooms
and truffles. The truffle-nekros is an
assemblage. Its task is to emancipate
the corpse from the institutionalized, singular death of the subject. By reimagining the materiality of
the corpse, death takes on a radical
uncertainty.
